I have an opportunity to buy a HB 112 with a tiller and deck. What problems should I look for? I've read that the hydro likes to leak. How can I tell if the motor is original to this tractor? Thanks I don't have pictures yet.

I'm trying to get Ms. Allis ready for summer, but I seem to be missing a part: the lift arm for the mid mounted implements. It is item AA in the diagram. It lifts the mower & grader blade. The diagram shows that it is bent upwards on the leading edge, where it connects to the tractor...

In keeping with my 3 hours of maintenance for every hour of seat time, I pulled Ms. Allis back into the barn today to fix the snow plow lift rod. The top end was worn & needed to be beefed up with some welding. Anyway, when I went to put it back together, I followed the pattern used by the PO...

I finally have the HB112 back up to running condition. Still needs some carb work (slowly dripping gas), but it pushed the 4" of slush we've gotten like it wasn't even there. The power lift for the plow is a great feature. I'm not sure I have the correct lift rod, but the one I have works...

As some of you may remember, I have been reviving an HB112. I've spent part of these last few colder months focusing a few smaller problems: the seat not closing properly, getting the T66X hydro to stop leaking, and taking the slop out of the speed control system. I've gotten the seat to close...

In the continuing battle to revive my Allis HB112, I've recently had a couple of parts that were beyond my skill level: the pintle leak on pump housing from the T66X, and the double ended ball joint. At long last they are back from the machine shop. If only it would warm up enough to get them...

I am trying to get my HB112 operational again. I've repaired the leaks at the control pintles and have the Vickers T66X reinstalled. While I was bleeding the system, I noticed there is a lot of slop in the control system: a large movement of the handle is required before the control pintle...

My T66x was leaking at the forward/reverse control and at the point the motor enters the reduction gear box. I found a seal kit online, PRO-ACTIVE Fluid Power, but that's another thread. Everyone loves pictures, so here goes ... Pump innards: Two words of warning: 1) There are 2 pins...

I had some spare time today after I got the Gearbox sounding normal, so I thought I would look at the BGB. It had about .100" end play on the output shaft. I installed a shim (.080") between the driven gear (#11) & the bearing (#10). Now it has about .020", which is likely still to much, but...

I just split the reduction gearbox on my HB112 so I could replace the drive/neutral shift stem. Now, when I turn the wheels, there is silence at first but then there is what I assume is gear noise. Are both the silence & noise normal? If not, what should I be looking for?
