Stew (29Chev) made me a new seat cover for it a year or two ago, the original is pretty decent but has a rip in the top (1st pic). I got it out today for the first time since last fall, gas and battery back in , couple cranks and it fired right up, changed the oil and got to work on the seat. The foam off the old cover liked it's marriage to it so I left it. I installed some edge guard to soften the fabric rubbing on the metal seat pan edge. Hacked out some new pieces of foam, this stuff is what Doug (LP Bolens ) had referenced it one of Stew's seat cover posts, may of been the first one, anyhow like it for the application. Found some NOS wheel weights still in remnants of their boxes, however the mice had chewed and did their usual number on things so I unceremoniously dumped them nest and all and left the 'boxes' with the seller, he advertised the weights as NIB... a stretch, oh well I thought they'd look good on the 1050, so I decontaminated them and installed, the Brinley planter was a stable mate of the 1050 originally so I thought I'd mount it up for a photo op. How did you attach the new cover since you covered the seat pan edge with edging?

Another beautiful tractor. Any idea if the colors on the planter are original? I recently came across one (which the owner wouldn't sell) that was all black. Just curious for my own knowledge.
Ken, Thank you, the planter as far as I know the color is factory , I've seen them in this color combo as well as white tanks with a black frame.

Cant beat original, but it does look really good. Do you know if he does just Bolens seats, or would he be interested in doing an old simplicity seat?

Stew (29Chevy) could handle covering the seats in a Lamborghini IMO. Contact him.

It's a drawstring as the original was, http://gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/47061-bolens-1050-seat-cover-project/page-1?hl=%201050%20%20seat%20%20cover
