I have three 1250's so I am relatively sure that the 1967 197-01 and probably the 1968 197-02 had white steering wheels. I also have a 1969 197-03 and it currently has a black steering wheel. Is this correct for the year?

i had a 850 that had a black steering wheel and i have seen 1050s and 850s with them but i never recall seeing a 1250 but its a 1250-03 thats a late model so it's probably correct

Most 1250-03 had black steeering wheels along with the 1455 in 1969.

Thanks, Jerome. That is useful on two fronts. It means that my 1455 with the Johnson forklift is a 1969.

1969 was the only year for the 1455 last I knew.

Doug that's the correct one as the other members are saying, I have had some parts 1250 tractors with the black wheel
Got any really nice ones left, Rick? It would save me the trouble of restoring one that is intact, but severely weathered.
