Slept in a bit this morning, and when I got up, I noticed a strange, bright, round object in the sky. Not too sure what it is, since it's too bright to look at directly. I fear that the gods may be displeased for one reason or another.

To appease them, I've sacrificed a goat, but that didn't make it go away. I'm currently searching for a virgin to throw into the volcano to see it that will please them. Of course, finding a volcano in this area ain't going to be easy, but I thought I'd get the hard part (virgin) done first.

Anyway, I did find that the bright thing makes taking pictures a lot easier.
So, as promised, here some pics of "Cloud Burst IV", my latest 1256.

As you can see, she ain't pretty, but seems to be in decent mechanical condition.

Missing the "Grass Divider" on the end of the mower. Also, didn't have the blade cover either.

Steering wheel and seat are a bit rough, plus it's missing the side panels, and the knob on the parking brake.

I'm pretty sure that I want to replace these "Frankenstein" front wheels. First off, with them set out like this, the tractor has the turning radius of the USS Reagan. Also, I'm pretty sure that they are putting a lot of extra stress on the axles. Rear Ags look like they haven't got all that much wear on them. Oh, they are NaCl filled as well, so I shouldn't need wheel weights when I put the front blade on it.

Tiller is in excellent shape, but missing the lift link. Mower deck is so so. I can see a thin spot or two on it, and it's missing the cover.

This front blade is pretty much a POS. I guess I can use it for things that might tear up my good blade.

Yeah, I'm happy with it. I won the bid at $760.00, but when I picked it up the guy said that since he didn't get the right ball joint that he had ordered, he was taking $40.00 off the price, and sold it to me for $720.00.

Congrats. Looks like a good buy. I really like the sickle bar.

It looks to be one of the early gold colored ones
Could be. Amazingly enough, the data plate is still on it!

I can't see any evidence of gold paint anywhere, just rust.

However, it's an 18532-01. The one my FIL bought when he got the '64 800 is an 18532-02, so it's probably earlier than a '64.

If you were close enough, and willing to have gone over $850.00, you would have gotten it.

That's what I had set as my max bid.
