looking in the Parts Book of the Snapper 1855 I found on page 50 a "Ramp, Mower Mounting". In the Snapper 1855 Service Manual part 2 on page 10.7 (63) I found the following text under "Attaching 54" mower to tractor"

"Slide mower under Tractor or using mounting ramp (accessory), drive Tractor over mower."

Drive over mower!!! That is kind of special!

Does someone has or has seen this accessory? How does it work? Where does it attaches to? It seems to bolt somewhere given the Parts Book.

I remember there was a ramp that did not come with the mower. They had to be purchased separably. I have never seen a set.
I used 1x6s when I mounted my mower.

I've installed and removed my deck many times and have always done so by sliding it in from the right side. What I usually do is to jack up the front of the tractor just a bit. I've often thought about ramps and driving over the deck but figured I didn't need to put all that extra weight of the tractor on the deck and possibly doing damage to the rear wheel arms.Just didn't think it was worth the risk.Larry

I have to mount and dismount my deck fairly often, and I find it easiest to use the drive-over method. I just rig up some ramps out of whatever is handy.

I just slide my mower in/out from the side. I don't find it hard doing it that way.
