I have seen some psot regarding MF using eatons hydros in some of their GTs. While looking for info on my Snapper 1650 I went to the agco parts book. In the 1650 section under transmisions, they have two listings.

TRANSMISSION (USED MACHINE SERIAL NUMBER 2411201320 AND UP)25This link is for the eaton hydro

TRANSMISSION26This is for the Sunstrand Hydro.

So if your machine is serial number 2411201320 and up you should have the eaton.

It looks like they used both types and they have a separate brake and linkage control for both hydros as well.

Hope this helps.

I have 2 Sundstrand's and 1 Eaton. Time will tell but I think I am going to like the Sundstrand the best. All I need to be as happier camper is a new input shaft for the Sundstrand

The agco parts book still has that input shaft as available ( it has the add to basket button next to it)

I once had a 1650 with the Eaton, and though a very good hydro, I much prefer the Sundstrand, and feel is is stronger than the Eaton. Both great hydro's though.
