Ok, so yesterday i made a 300 mile round trip for a very mint 1886 with plow, snowblower and mower deck. drove 150 miles there to find that the driveshaft had a nasty wobble to it, figured it was the driveshaft or the trans input shaft, turned out to be the input shaft. Luckily I love to buy junkers for oddball parts, so i do have a bolens 1455 with a good transmission. I have decided im going to replace either just the input shaft in my 1886 or would I be better off swapping the whole pump from a 1455 into the 1886? This whole thing is killing me because i have been waiting 3 years to find a good large frame to put my nos johnson loader on and now this one is turning into a headache.
