I picked up this chain drive garden tractor the other day. I got the 1958 date from the serial number on the engine. I have done a bit of research and I am convinced I bought a Bready. I bought it purely because the chain drive got my attention. I know the hood and seat are wrong and it's missing some covers, but it was a good price so I couldn't pass it up. I'll post the few pictures I have of it. I'll get better pictures this weekend if the weather is a bit nicer.

It has the T92 Transmission

The briggs is a

Model: 23A
Type #: 703010
Serial #: 625197

Don't know Bready, but think loose pants might be in those chains! That seems like way too big of engine for that originally! Speedex used same trans and similar drive, but on other side and well covered. This is new one for me.

I've found a couple of different colors on it so far. I'll sand down a small portion of it and see how many colors are there. I don't know if it's the original engine. I got it at a good price, so it'll be fun just to drive around the yard regardless.

It is a bready frame and drive setup, engine isnt from a bready, bready also made tractors for gilson and homelite

Surely is a Bready nice pick and I think they also made a10hp model it probably is an early 60s model they would cut a section of the grille out to allow room for the starter. Apparently an option, that engine looks pretty big . Mine is a 6hp model 600 power ette.

that's actually mine. I took a wild guess at the price. I'm willing to sell it, I'm honestly asking what the value might be so I can adjust my price so I don't rip anyone off.

There's one in our classifieds marked sold that had a 500 tag. All restored and pretty.

There is also a 57 in the registry that the guy wanted 350 for (he put a classified in the registry :wallbanging
Both of them have the sheet metal and stuff that this one is missing
Both appear to have original motors.

Prices have gone up and down in the last couple years, and I have zero frame of reference on this model, but based on the info I see, i think you may be a little on the high side.

I felt like I was a bit high too. I'm probably gonna lower it to 300. I feel like that might be fair.
