MVC-860X.jpg

My 1977 MF1655 that I restored and converted with a MF1010-1020 deck. Used the original gear box and mounting brackets.Fabricated a mounting plate to mount the gear box. Machined new keyed shafts, mounted gear in box on oposite end of input shaft to reverse rotation of output shaft and the 3 cutting blades are driven with a B series v-belt.I also built and added the castors. Has been in use after modifications for 4 years. Works great. Theres always a way to keep these wonderful tractors operating.

Thanks to all for your kind words and welcoming. I would certainly share info on what I did to convert the decks. This winter I will be removing the deck for servicing and I will take some close up pictures.

Sounds good John! Those pics will be very welcomed.......my hats off to you on your ability to take a lemon of a situation and make lemonade out of it! LOL! The beautiful thing of using a 1010-1020 MF deck is you can pick them up dirt cheap! Was one on ebay a few days ago...looked good and was very reasonable priced but don't think he even got a bid on it!? You did a great job of adding the swivel caster gauge wheels on it to......don't think you have to worry about tearing them off the deck! Take care and happy mowing! Luke
