Well, lesson learned. Any 14-20 HP Briggs Vanguard V-Twin fits in place of the Tecumseh's in the H-16 definitely, and most likely the H-14 and G-10/11/12/14 etc. All the bolts are the same pattern, size, and the original spacers work too! Only issue is the Vanguard had a 1" shaft, where the Techy has a 1 1/8. Also, no more scoop hood! Regular hood fits, I used a straight 850 hood I had. I may also change the fenders to 850 ones, and just weld a cover plate on them. Also converting this thing to a 15 spline, 1" PTO. Motor and PTO are off a White GT-1855!

Nice job on that. I used an adapter on the shaft of the 18HP L Head engine when I did built my 1856 tube frame tractor. You will enjoy that tractor with the V twin in it.
