Hi all,
I’ve got my steering box out of the tractor as I’m rebuilding it. I need to replace the fan belt. M800048 is 1/2 x 34 belt. I bought one and it appears to be too wide and won’t fit. I’m now looking for anyone who replaced their fan belt and exactly what part number/ make you used. The original belt is much narrower than the 1/2” I bought. Any help here is greatly appreciated.

The original looks much narrower and possibly it was a clogged belt

Old belt is rubber sided, new is wrapped, so wider. Didn't know JD sold wrapped belts.

Hi KennyP , I bet that belt would work being .410” wide definitely narrower. Also the belt I bought was your typical 1/2 x 34 Kevlar it was not a JD part. I’ll call Napa thank you for the tip. I’ll let you know.

KennyP that was the correct belt and it is a cogged belt as I suspected. Wish me luck getting the hydraulic hoses back onto that steering box. It’s really tight in there.
