I modified the idea and geared it towards GT's.

Most of the ones I resell are sold without a battery simply because I am too lazy to go get one. I let the buyer drive them all they want then I pull my battery out.

My two favorites are :

'Will Run' = All you have to do is replace the condensor , adjust the points , clean the fuel system , rebuild the carburetor , find a recoil assembly .

'Once its restored it will be worth a lot of money' = Good luck finding parts - all it needs is a hood ,seat , engine, wheels , gas tank , and a steering wheel .

Not for mowers, but when I was hauling a lot of scrap cars I used to get this call a lot.

Junk car owner: I have a junk car.

Me: what can you tell me about it.

JCO: Well it is a XXXX and it runs great - all it needs is the engine put back in.

Me: Put back in?

She couldn't drive worth a hoot, and wrecked it every time she drove it.

"ran when parked" = 20 years ago, but we had to have it hauled to where we now are selling it.
