" Bob " is for may dad, that was his Homelite and I got it when he passed. "Charlie" is the tractor that my wife's dad had when she was younger. We inherited him after her mom and dad passed. " Ed" came to us after a close friend and neighbor passed. His name was Ed and we promised his wife that we would keep the name his grand kids gave the tractor. We also have " Dusty Cubby" 1650 Hydro Cub, "Peppy" a troybuilt LT, " Chief" for a 1970 True Value lawn chief LT, and, " Mo" another Homelite T-16H ( because he came from Missouri) and " Penn" for another Homelite T-16 H who came from Pennsylvania. Not including names for three Allis Chalmers farm tractors. Just our way to keep it family. By the way the wife likes that names and helped name a few. Roger

We have always had names for our cars and my truck but I haven't started naming the tractors yet.

I think that's cool. Good for you.

My thing along your tractor line is to buy a new knife--a nice one--each time I lose a close relative. I use it the next season to dress and skin a deer and then put it away to not be used again. I know which knife was purchased for each of my uncles, my grandmothers and some cousins and each deer I used them on. It's a simple thing. Unfortunately as I get older my collection of knives just gets larger. I can't complain though. At least I'm here to buy them.

We all have our thing that we do to remember those we have lost.

My tractors are named for the folks I got them from. The old MTD="Uncle Bill", the MF8E="Dick" and the MF12G=Ron. It's a respect and rememberance thing. The GMC's have names too!

Some of my tractors have names. But nothing as sentimental. That's a nice way to honor the owners memory.

Some of them have names that would give me warning points!

Thanks oldedeeres ! That is what got me into all this nonsense , I saw one of those and just had to play with it. I still look at it and say 'WOW that is just the coolest looking mini tractor thingy I have ever seen !"

Its not about the showing it, or having it, or using it , it is the fact I can see it , then go over and play with it. And noone can say 'Don't touch that!"
