A Texas update

Hi all! Been off-line (literally) for the last 4 days. Started with the black-outs sometimes lasting 2-1/2 hours off and 20 minuets on. We are still with intermittent power, but not as bad now. Then on day 2 the water quit. Not frozen, just no power to pump it into the tower. I have learned several things the past few days.

  1. A 20-gallon garbage can full of snow makes 5 gallons of water (For flushing only).
  2. Ice sickles can reach 3' in length!
  3. I hate using the smart phone.
  4. It's still cold!

Things I don't understand.

  1. Why are Stadium lights, and City sky-lines more critical than our homes for power.

Things I believe.

  1. Covid-19 and Green Power is playing a major role in Global Cooling.

Supposed to be back in the 70's next week here.

Rode to some Garage sales today and scored some things.

Ran the mosquitoes out of the shop.

Tiller was sold, got my money back. Struggling to keep the yard under control with all the rain we are getting.
Thinking about not mowing like the neighbor.

Dogs were barking at something last night, so I went out to see. Yep, it's that time of the year, and time to mow the grass again.

Mowing can some times be an adventure with deck cleaning.

I captured SpaceX making a cloud. They have been testing the affects of a rocket blast on steel plates under a water deluge spray.

Awesome score today. $140 for all 4. New shoes for the Roper 20T

Went to a flee market to meet a friend for these.

Found some rims, will they work?

Rim offsets, I did not know. I still think these will be fine.

Rims are coming along nicely.

Avoiding the temptation to mount the tires today. There is a chance of rain Saturday, so I'll mow today and let the paint harden another day.
Alligators have been wrangled.

It's time to bring the 1978 Roper 20T into the shop. Last time I had this running was over a year ago to test if it would run without a battery, for a friend who picked up a Sears 19.9.

History and walk around on my 1978 Roper 20T
