Does any one have a pic. of the gov linkage? I ordered new and the link that goes from top of the gov. bracket to the carb. has a L bend on 1 end. The one that was there was straight. I might also add that it was a piece of coat hanger. Pics in the manual that I down loaded aren't clear enough to make out which is correct and which end connects to the carb. Too dark for me to take pics of what I have. But I will take pics in the AM of both and post.

Thanks, the first pic is kinda fuzzy but still clear enough for me to make out the travel path and which end the bend goes to. I tell yah these darn Tecumseh carbs. can make ya go bald just from all the head scratchin. LOL

In the Tecumseh manual, it shows the "L" end connecting to the throttle. At least it looks that way to me, from those drawings.

I originally connected it that way and it did seem to move smoother.

That's how I hooked mine up, with the link I bent up out of throttle cable wire.
Works ok, gov does it's job. I'm not changing it, I don't care what anyone says. That carb
gave me enough grief, and I'm not touching it again.Ever.:D

Same here once I get her running I AIN"T touching it again. If she quits I have a H10 that I'll retro fit. It's sitting on a snow blower thats pretty much trashed but the engine runs strong.

Font Art Paper Poster Visual arts I don't know if these pic's are clear enough, there from the 1973 manual. It shows the carb end bent up and the gov. end bend down. Like Iamsherwood, my works good like it is so it will stay for now, if I have to fix anything with the carb than I think I will put the straight linkage on.
