My guess is, early MF 10 or 12.

Easily, not in my mind any way. Crank shafts point in different directions between the 10/12 than the 14/16 models.

I see that my 16 and 1655 both have the pullys coming out the front of the engine. I'm guessing the MF 12 has the pully coming out the side? The guys wants $100 for the above unit which I think is a good deal? But I'm not sure if it's missing anything? I'm thinking maybe I should get the blower than be forced to go out and buy a 10 or 12 to fit it?

That is an early 10/12 blower, HOWEVER, I have never seen that mount! All of those style blowers I have ever seen use a frame mount like a snow plow. Your's hooks on like a mower deck to the bumper! VERY interesting! Please add more photos of that mount bracket. It appears factory. If so it may be a VERY early (like 1966) snow blower. I would be all over that just because of that!

Where is it located?

Also to note is that there is something extra around the belt pulley which appear to be original.

No, I am wrong, it's not connected. You are missing a couple parts. There is a bracket that bolts to the PTO pedal itself. That bracket had a rod to connect with the silver bracket coming off the pulley mount.
There is also a two piece rod which controls the chute. (All of these are simple to make). There is also the two piece rod that connects the lift handle to the blower mount to raise it. Again, pretty easy to make.

I will add some photos of mine that could help.

Here is an idea of the original style mount. The photo shows a snow plow because I was custom building a mount to work with a plow blade and the snow blower frame mount.

The plow did work quite well and I have plans to build a better mount frame from scratch. The one above was a modified snowblower frame. I think I can build one much nicer now that I know wow well it works.
