It's been a long time since I've frequented a forum, but I'm back and enjoying being home with my toys! I've spent the last ten months living in Red Wing, MN going to the Tech Center there --learning how to fix musical instruments.
Over my winter break, a family friend who's tractor I've been trying to get my hands on for the past six or seven years told me to check with her husband about the 169 that his father had bought new in 1974 from a local dealer. Bought it with a deck, Brinly Cultivator and Mould Board Plow.
I have the original owners manuals, and maintenance receipts dating back to 2001 --whenever he took ownership of the tractor, when his father bought a left-over Super from the local dealership.
I currently work for the local Dealer, and came across this 86 whenever it got traded in. Neither ran whenever they came to me, but my step-brother mowed with the 86 all last year --but I've had to do some troubleshooting and it needs repairs. Namely the clutch and starter-gen mount.
Well, enough of my rambling --I'm here to show off my two of the five rarest production model Cadets!
I took pictures trying to compare the largest of the first wide-frames with the smallest!
(I'd love to see pictures of your's too!)
