I tried this before with a Craftsman GT-18 and could'nt fuigure out how to do it. So i'm using a Bolens this time! Recently picked up an Eliminator 1468 to use the motor in my Agway GT-18 (Now 14) because it is more efficient being a much newer OHV V-Twin Vanguard. Now I have the motor in the Agway, and am left with a 18 horse Briggs opposed twin and the rest of the 1468. So i'm making a front mount mower! The motor turns the opposite way which solves the drive problem already. All I need to do really is make a longer steering arm and put a seat on it! Opinions? Ideas? Pretzel Roll Recipes?. uploadfromtaptalk1436464017750.jpg

That is cool. I put that exact same engine with dual exhaust into my Bolens 1556. I call it an 1856. I think you could do well with that engine in your bolens. Are you planning on putting that engine into a front mount mower? Here is a link to my video if you want to see how it looks in a tube frame tractor.

Didn't end up doing either :-/! The tranny swap or the backwards Bolens. Turns out the Briggs opposed twin I was gonna use fits directly in my Simplicity 3012 which also has a snowthrower and mower deck, therefore making the swap a no brainer (Good Cause I don't got Much Brain!)! uploadfromtaptalk1436492455157.jpg

Wow, very nice engine swap! You made it look factory!

Love the exhaust setup.
