O.K. frustrated with the other end fighting axle pin so started on carb issues. IMG_20160423_123209.jpg Kinda hard to see, but the throttle plate is actually broken at the bottom of disc.

Thinking this maybe why it ran at full throttle only, jammed over/open ? Remember I was thrilled that it ran at all !!

The only markings I can find are LMH (cast into flange) then stamped in small font 4-4-3 ?

I have a couple Walbro's around that came off Cubs but they are not going to interchange with this...

Did a quick look on e-bay and everything looked like modern plastic :(

Again I find myself asking, and ideas ?

Worst comes to worst you could probably make a new throttle shaft and plate - is the plate broken in two or just cracked?

It's actually in two, that is why it is jammed over on itself...

It appears to be brass from the picture - depending on the size you could probably get a cup style brass expansion plug for a car and trim the outer edge, flatten the cup and make a new one or one of the carbs you have may have the same size plate - just a suggestion. You could also make a new plate out of sheet steel but it may try to rust. If you try and take the screws out of the shaft be careful as they are sometimes flattened on the threaded end so they can't work loose.

Do you have an older repair shop in your area? They might have a box of miscellaneous old carbs and parts that you could match to. Good Luck, Rick

I realize that Brian,,, I think the pot metal holes ( Carb. body ) that support the shaft are oblonged and feel loose and my also be sucking air..

They will suck air bad. I used a small amount of JB weld on one before with good results. Oil the shaft slightly so the weld won't stick to it.
