So I have been thinking ... for my 1256D project i am going to need to paint it ..and i have been thinking of what colors to go i had thought of going with the original colors but Imo they are Blah :/ and the Decals are all degraded so i need decals (what are going to be Custom) as the hood needs to be a total of 8" longer i was thinking of having the same paint job as the ht20d ht23 and htd1000 with the green frame and off white body panels and the stickers on the rear fenders with white wheels (i might keep them red tho) i have been looking for about 1-2 hours to find a picture Very Late model h14-16 or a g14 with the Green paint and the striped hood but all i can find is this one and the pictures are not all that great .. i have some Nos Green bolens and some white parts that i might be able to take in and get the paint matched up i dont plan to paint the tractor till late July wen its a nice 27decrees C

I want opinions !

Cheers

Ty

If you are going to use green and white for the colors, I don't think red wheels will quite look right. I'd go with the color scheme of a HT20D.

I like the original colours on those but that 20D sure looks sweet.

Personally, I like the 1256 colors. I'd paint it in the original colors. Since you are going to need custom decals anyway, I'd have the model number changed to 1256D

I think I am going with the Green frame with every thing else Factory colors .. i went to a paint place .. Actually Multiple and i ended up at Napa .. with a Close match .. but its $40 per Rattle can ! ONE CAN Frig that noise ! so i headed to acklands Granger trying to find something .. with no luck but i found a VERY close match to the green so i need to paint the front section of the frame Atm then i will worry about the rear end some time in the summer i Really like the Rustolem paint its Enamel and tough as nails also it has a very nice finish like car paint finish if any thing it will look more like the 1050-1225 just with a Green frame instead of Brown Also the tractor will be a Worker that will get Dirty greasy ... and with white/beige makes the dirt show up Bad.... and its about $8 for a Large Can
