A friend of a friend brought me a Bolens 1455 that he wanted overhauled. Said it burned a quart of oil an hour. Tore it down, rod bearing shot, bore grooved badly, lots of loose fasteners and missing/damaged gaskets. Was inspecting the parts today and found out the bottom of the cylinder jug is cracked. I was planning on having it sleeved but what to do about this crack? Is it a common problem? Anybody have another jug? It is a Wisconsin S14D. Anywhere you guys recommend to get parts? Oh yeah, and that screw in the bottom of the bore in the picture is a missing screw from the air cleaner. It was in the intake valve chest.
