Hello everyone I am restoring a Bolens 64/65 900. I have looked at hundreds of images. I am confused about the colors on the hood. I have seen decals on an orange back ground and some with just the decals on the off white hood. What is the real deal. Thanks for your help.

There were 2 decal designs for the 900
Hi Bolens 1000 Your answer begs more questions. Would that be # 1.decals on white hood with white wheels, Brown cordoven frame. # 2.decals on orange back ground with white hood. White wheels brown cordoven frame. My tractor has the bowl type seat on a fiberglass fender unit. Thank you for your reply

I certainly hope BGM 0544 (Dupli-Color) Brown Cordoven Metallic is close to original brown because that is the color it's getting painted.

The 900's were the same paint for 1964-1965 , the only difference was decals
you can find the differences in this article the 800 was the same way for those two years

DR Bolens thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. Your article was very well written and very informative. I wasn't really interested in the other models but you made the story so interesting I had to read it in it's entirety. Great Job!!

Cleaned up well , just so you know the lift link for the tiller is on wrong should be attached to the lower peg under the foot rest
I noticed that something was not right when I put it back together tried flipping it and it hit the foot pedal. That would explain it I'll fix that before it goes to its owner today. Good catch your the best you must have zoomed in to see that. Thanks saved again by THE DOCTOR
