Pros and cons for each?

I'm considering picking up the Bolens H16 and the specs are quite similar. 16 horse Tecumseh, though, instead of the Briggs I'm used to

You are comparing Chevys to Fiats. The H16 is a powerful garden tractor vs the YT16H which is a much lighter duty yard tractor. The Bolens has more attachments available but is much older. You really need to decide what you want your tractor for. The YT is fine for mowing and towing a light cart. Other duties are hard on it. The Bolens engine can be a pain for parts sometimes but most parts are available. Look at the pics and manuals for them. What prices are on them? Good Luck, Rick

Well I've been thinking of the tractor in terms of Needs and Wants

I need it to move snow. The YT did alright last season but I'm looking at a couple hundred bucks to get weights and chains if I want to keep it. The heavier duty of a Bolens makes sense to me because moving snow is my only hard requirement

My wants are looks and mowing capability. Here I like the look of the Ford too, but my deck isn't the greatest and mowing is third on my list anyways.

It sounds like I'll have a tough choice to make, because for similar $, I can swap my YT hydro with mower and blade for a Bolens hydro with a mower and snowblower
