I just went on friday to get this bolens. It was on Kijijifor a while for $250.00 but i ended up getting it for $200.00.As you can see in the pictures someone cut the left side of the hood, did a lousy paint job,i think the throttle should be on the column, the air breather at the choke has one of the screw holes broken off, so i will have to make something up or if someone has a spare wiconsin carb or filter they want to sell let me know,it has a clinton gas tank. It was posted as a 1970 bolens but from what i have found it seems to be a 1963 800 model.I see alot of brown and white under the bad paint job.So just hoping someone can tell me for sure what it is like year, model, paint colors etc. It starts and runs perfect! So its a wisconsin engine, model #S7D, serial #3577445, size3x2and 5/8 , spec#218981, on the tractor itself i couldn't find any numbers. Thanks.

Well, From what I can tell the Tractor is actually a 1963-1965 Bolens 600 and someone added the 7 1/4 HP wisconsin engine under the hood.

If The engine and transmission are good you got a decent deal.

If your seeing brown paint for the body its most likely a 1964 -1965 600

This is what It should look like

:iagree:

It's also missing the hi/lo speed range lever and controlled differential knob, both of which an 800 would have.

Well that makes me happy it's a good, strong runner and once i find a breather or a carb for it because i dont like leaving that choke plate exposed then i'll really be satisfied

The S7D Wisconsin with Spec # 218981 was only used on the 1963 Bolens 800 tractor, but as the others have already said, it was installed on a Bolens 600.
