Hello all. It's been some time since I've posted any thing on here but I thought I would get back into the groove of this. I picked a 1933 Bolens model AR yesterday from a friend. I was woundering if anyone had a parts manual or any ideas on the original colour of it? In the Bolens history book I have states a 1927 modelDQ was paint red. On mine, there is a few spots of green simular to the old Bolens green but someone may have painted it the green sometime in the past. Just curious on people's thoughts. My email address is thesmallcollector.ph-at-gmail.com. Thanks for looking.

There wasn't any red on the DQs. More than likely it was green and a black or silver engine. What engine does it have on it?

It has a Briggs engine. On the tag it says Type - 60440. Model AR. Serial no. 30191. I have the pictures on my phone but i can't seem to be able to upload them.

Yes your correct.I misread it by mistake. The model A Power Hoe says it was red and I'm guessing it was made around 1930 ish.

Your engine was built in Feb 38. The tractor would have most likely been built in 38 or 39. the model A was the first one and used the Briggs P engine. It was 22-23 range.

Great looking machine!

I agree with the others on the colors being Green not red

Have you got it running yet?
Yes sort of. The carburetor needs some work but I have a little bit of fuel down the intake breather and it does run; not perfect but it does.
