I also have a 1965/66 Bolens Diablo Rouge. The model is 500. Serial number 11700. This one I have is the model that was produced only 1 year in the Canada factory. It has the Canada leaf on the air intake dome on the hood. The skis on the trailer are wood. It also has two tracks underneath the motor unit.

The Bolens Sprint does run. I need to clean the carb, it hasn't ran for a year.

The Diablo Rouge, the motor is stuck. The local snowmobile club had a show displaying some of the antique sled during their poker run. They wondered if I would bring it so I restored the riders sled and repainted the front unit to display at the show.

MH81: You asked about the Allis? The answer is that what you see in the picture is how I bought it at the same swap meet from a different guy. The guy I bought it from said his dad was tearing it down for a restoration project and his dad either died or he lost interest. So I bought it in 4 cardboard boxes.

What I should have asked is what model of the bolens PTO is the rarest of the three?
I have a Bolens "Attachment Interchangeability List" that covers everything from the 600 to the G292.

Looking at that, I see that there were 2 different Front PTO attachments for the Tube Frames, and 4 different REAR PTO attachments for the Large Frames.

Tube Frame attachments were FRONT MOUNTED and are #18704 and #18905, both 540 RPM, which are most likely the ones that Bolens1000 pictured in post #2 above. Those are listed as fitting EVERY Tube Frame from the 600 to the H16

For the Large frames there were:
18082 - 2000 RPM that fit on the 1886-04 and up.
18094 - 540 RPM that fit the 1886-05 and up.
15095 - 540 RPM that fir the 1250 thru the 1886-04
18906 - 540 & 1000 RPM that fit the 1250 thru the 1477.

To tell the truth, I don't think that you can single out any of them as the rarest, as they are all extremely rare.

The red one is rare

18082 - 2000 RPM that fit on the 1886-04 and up, I would think it will fit the 1886-01 - 1886-04 aswell.
I think most will fit you just need the right drive shaft.

The # 18704 PTO Kit for the tube-frames was not 540 rpm. ......It was driven directly by the tractor pto, and the output rpm was dependent on engine rpm.

Um is that yours?

Yes, for now.

I've had several people inquire about it. .....Want to make an offer?

.....As you can see, it is NOS, and has never been mounted.
I sent you a pm.

looks home made or something like that judging by the muffler and the mower deck i can tell the guy liked to mod things
