I have heard that the planters used in the four row seeder setup were planet jr #300. Anyone can confirm this? Also is it plain model 300 or the 300A model? Just want to make sure I'm searching for the correct planters to make this planter setup I got complete

the seeder could have used either one. My 1937 Jr catalog say the only difference in them is the rear wheel, with the 300 having a larger flat wheel and the A model using a concaved one. The explanation was the type of soil the units were to be used on.

There is also some indication that the #4 or #25 was used in gang seeding units.

Near far as i can tell from word of mouth and sales literature, yes, the # 4 and # 25 was used before the # 300 was built to fill that growing of tractor drawn seeder drill demands.

The # 300A is the most common on the east coast due to the wheel.
