I recently got a bolens walk behind tractor and i want to find a cultivator for it. is anybody in southern Wisconsin selling one or anybody have any suggestions were i should look for one.

Welcome to GTT.

Moldboard plows, discs, and cultivators were common attachments for Bolens tractors.

Bolens had several different hitch styles for their walk-behind tractors. ....Later models used the same hitch as some riding tractors.

You will have to know which model tractor you have to get the correct attachments.

The model number on it is 12b01 and the serial number is A10977

The 12B tractors were made 1949 & 1950.

interesting that you say that they were made form 49 to 50 because the engines date is 1940

Either the original engine was replaced or the numbers were misread.

i just did some more looking and the serial number says its a 49 so on the flywheel that 0 must be a 9 with the line cut off

Your engine Serial number 1095248 was made in June, 1949, so more than likely your tractor was built later in 1949.

This assumes the engine is original to the tractor, or the baffle with the B&S nameplate has not been changed.
