I have a 1949-1956 Bolens gardener 2 wheel tractor. It has a 3HP Wisconsin engine. The following is stamped on the side of the engine. AA-81-10 or maybe AA-81-1G. Hard to tell as the last 2 characters are covered by the flywheel. Is this the serial number of the engine? I'm trying to find out the year of manufacture and parts availability. Thank you

Thank you. This looks to be about right. The engine is stamped with AA-81-1G. It looks to be a 1.8 HP engine

Thank you for your help. It may be a 3 HP rated at 4.3. It also may be a 1.8 as that is what the engine stamp AA is supposed to stand for.
