found this down at Portland Swap meet yesterday and it was already sold. The owner said it had a very rare model T engine on it. I asked what it sold for and he said 15. I said 15.00? He smiled and said 1500.00!! Help me here I only took 2 photos but is this that rare? I seen another bolens reels with out the engine and then I found this other one all done up and was selling for 500.00. The 1927 power hoe unit was 800.00 There was probably 20-30 bolens mowers there today.

Why do these things always have to be so far away!

I'd kill to have one of those reels!

No way I'd pay that much, the repaints decrease the value in my opinion.

Those reels are Hard to find! And you dont hear me say that too often!

The $1500 reel mower was a cooper mower not bolens although I'm thinking now that cooper may have actually made the bolens mower cause there is several similarities between the two. That cooper mower had the model t briggs engine on it which is why it brought $1500 the nice painted one has a model a briggs engine on it I contemplated buying that one but have already spent more money than I care to talk about so far in two days. Pictures to follow soon on all the new bolens coming home

Thanks guys I thought it was odd to see 3 reels in one day since I did not know they made one. The one that sold for 1500.00 did not have any bolens indication on it but the handle and deck , roller looked very close to being a match to the one with out a engine. I did see 3 estate type mowers also. Met a guy from Minnesota that said he had bought out a bolens business and he had 5 tractors on his trailer 2 being estates. I have his business card and number if anyone needs to chase parts.

I bought some stuff from him at LeSueur this year, even talked with him for a while and he said nothing about him buying out a Bolens dealer. Guess I should of talked with him more :wallbanging:
