I have what I believe is a new, unstarted Tecumseh HH100 that my father in law bought at a sale of some sort many years ago. I've had it since I cleaned up his estate 12 years ago. Recently I decided I had lugged it around long enough and decided to find out what it had been manufactured for.......only to find out that many brands had used this engine? From the serial number (4135E) I think it was manufactured in 1964?? The model (HH100-115202D) should tell something about the application but I need help in finding out what that is. At one time I thought it might have been slated for a John Deere 112 but they didn't use that engine till 68. Also it has a Walbro Auto-Pulse fuel pump which would indicate a low or remote fuel tank. Sears? Massey? Cub? Military? Can anyone help me identify this "Whazzat"?

I agree with Ben that its a general service engine and that it's a 74.
They would've made a bunch of these as general replacement, DIY project power, etc.
You've got a very nice find, might not make you rich, but if the crank is the right size, there are lots of GT applications.
