I finally got a belt guard made for my 1958 RAM and 2 separate mounting brackets which I will have to weld to the guard. I need clear concise pics of how this guard mounts. If you don't care to post them here please send them to [email protected]. Thanking anyone and everyone in advance.

Yes it is very simple if you have one already mounted. Yours pics do not show the mounting brackets where they welded to the guard or where they bolt to the tractor.

A measurement that I can not see in the pics is how far out the guard is away from the attachment mounts and where the 2 bracket that you speak of are welded to the guard. A front ,top and rear pic would be very helpful along with the distance out.

Here are the pics. I didn't see your post about dimensions until just now. The brackets have slots to allow the guard the move around a bit. Mine had a couple of extra bends to mount closer to the Versa matic pulley because the PTO assembly wasn't on it. I had to take the bends back out when I put the PTO on. When I traced it and sent it to you, the extra bend was in it.

Here are a couple with measurements. The bottom mount probably isn't the exact length it was from the factory, that's where it had the extra bend that I took out. The top bracket has a one inch slot for the bolt.

This is OAL of the bracket.

Kfs35, those are some really great pics and show a lot of what I am asking for. In the last pic of the measurement it shows a cut out at the bottom of the guard. Are they all like that or is the cut out for something special?

This one is the only one I've ever looked at, so I don't really know. It looks like a nice stamped edge, so I would suspect the cutout is original.

Hopefully someone else can answer that better.

It's factory, the cutout is to clear the PTO belt tensioner.

You can sort of see it in this picture.

Could I please have the measurements of the cut-out size? No hurry just when you get the time.

I am having some difficulty putting this guard on, so here are some pics to show what is going on. I can see no useful purpose of this guard as it will not cover anything if this angle bracket has to stay where it is. The bracket causes the guard to set way out from being over the belts.
