the part number is 172-3553 can anyone tell me if there 8inch or 10inch weights

Sam, All I can find are the attachment numbers. I'm not sure where you would find the actual part number.

I am sure that you have probably already tried what I did. I put in your part number and Bolens weights and it took me right to this thread. At least Google is following the site. Hope you find the info that you need.

I've got two dealer binders here with full line shop manuals and parts lists.

I didn't see those numbers in any of the parts lists I have here.

The only 10" weight I can recall for a Bolens is for an ST model rear wheel.
I don't recall any Bolens having 10" front wheels?

The widest any 8" wheel weight can measure is about 9 1/8" across the face, anymore an it would exceed total rim diameter.

Also, many rear weights won't have the cut out or clearance for the front hub, they may fit the rim but won't always fit over the bearing and dust cap.

The 1886 large frame had a 10" front wheel option and there was a 10" wheel weight for the rear wheel on the pups.
