Hi guys my grounds keeper is acting up... The carb is over fueling... The crank case is filling up with gas. Motor runs very nice oddly enough. Is the Wisconsin thd 18hp twin with a zenith Bendix updraft carb. I'm not sure anything else about this carb, like the model or anything. Any info would be great!

Download the manual from our Manuals Section. I suspect that your fuel pump is leaking the gas into the crankcase. Get into it. Take some pics and ask questions. We are all in this together. Good Luck, Rick

I will second this if it has a pump. If you're getting a bunch of gas in the crankcase, I'd suspect the pump before the carb. If it's gravity fed, buy a fuel shutoff.

I also bet you have a fuel pump system and it's got a blown diaphragm.

Excellent, I didn't even think that pump! Definitely makes sense though, the carb doesn't have any fuel pooling in the bottom, and the engine itself runs fantastic. I'm going to check it out today for sure, I'll let you guys know soon as possible how this turns out. I been scratching my head for weeks now on this.

Well it appears its the pump! I am replacing it with a electric pump from my inventory! Hopefully doesn't have too much pressure.
