I haven't seen any of the little diesels up close to know for sure and I may be totally off on my assumptions but if I am not mistaken diesels wouldn't have a governor and are rpm limited by the injection pump? Most of the diesels that run generators are kicked up to full throttle by a self contained throttle control? Just trying to figure all of this out.

There was a John Deere at the PA Plow Day that had one of the 6hp china diesels in it. At first it didn't seem like it was doing so good but I think it must have been the plow setup. Later on I seen him again and that thing was chugging right along. I couldn't believe how much black smoke it put out.

Somehow, pull start and Diesel do not compute in my book. LOL

There are a couple of guys that have used the cheap Chinese diesels for conversions projects and have reported great results. I plan on doing one in the future.
