They say we have a chance of rain mixed with sleet and snow flurries here near Ding Dong tonight and in the morning. Dang, it's been cold a bunch lately. Could some of you nice guys up north please close the door and stop all this cold air. I know nights in the high teens and 20's along with days in the 30's and low 40's probably isn't anything to you but DANG IT's COLD to this old toot. I don't think I need to invest in one of those snow thrower things yet though.

We can get plenty of seat time without putting one of those funny looking contraptions on the front or rear of our tractor's. :bigrofl:

Looks like I'll have to break out the heated gear to ride the bike Saturday. :mad2:

You're right on Daniel, just about anything to get some moisture. I worked out in the weather all my life but now that I'm old and retired it seems the cold is colder than it used to be. Maybe it's the "old" part.

Take down your Christmas lights, the cold front is homing in on your house.
Got everything down and stored away that was inside, it's to D%^&#@ cold outside to get in the lighted deer, lighted sleigh, angle and lights around the house. That can wait until Monday or Tuesday when it's supposed to be back in the 60's. Come on July & August.

I agree totally, Ronnie! They can have all that white stuff. And age does make a difference. 40 degree days suck!

High was around 35F here, woke up to 21F. Not bad at all. Actually, I can work outside in the 20's quite happily as long as the wind is calm.

Give me a few years & my "cold attitude" may change though.

Low around here was 9 this morning. That should delay the lake thaw. I am usually catching the shat out of crappie buy mid January, They go nuts when the ice melts!

Well today at work one of the forktruck drivers opened the big overhead door and yup!! you guessed it !! Tore it right off the building!! And it was the coldest day of the season so far!! I had to fire up another huge furnace just keep it from freezing the coolant in the machines!! Dang overhead doors that roll up !!! So maybe that's why its cold down there ....we broke the door LOL

Man up here this time of year we would consider 40 + is shirt sleeve weather. Now don't let anyone tell you that you get used to the cold and snow ! We may learn to deal with it but you never get used to it!
Amen brother !

I saw it was -24 F (-31 C) last night at camp. One time I'm glad I wasn't there. It was 0 last night here and never got over 20 F today. I'm hoping leaving the door will let out all the cold air. lol

I sure miss the White Christmas we used to get in Indiana & Illinois. But I sure liked the fresh tomatos and peppers we picked from the garden for Christmas dinner this year. O well it snowed a few flakes today and the freezes this last week took care of the garden.

The older I get the more I feel the cold. I like the Texas Winters but hate the Summers.
