The front hydraulic connectors for my JD420 leak badly when I hook up the Front End Loader, even when there's no pressure to them. They don't leak when it isn't connected. I suspect the seals are bad in the female connectors on the tractor.

I'm a total newbie when it comes to identifying hydraulic connectors. Can these be rebuilt? If not, is there an industry cross reference to the JD part? The JD number is AM37982. They're available at the JD store, but pricey.

I'm no friend of epay, but they have connectors please click here I don't know, if they are expensive or not. The european prices are different to the american.

then there must be cross references.

Those are regular pioneer fittings and I got them at the local Napa. I don't recall the price or part number.

Smitty, there is an o ring in the female end of the fitting that is the only replaceable seal. The connectors could be corroded which prevents a good seal with the tip of the male quick connect. Have a good look at the inside and see if it's clean and smooth where it needs to seal to the male tip. The O rings are a standard size 113 at least for my 317 which most likely has the same couplers. JD part no 32246 for the o ring. Any hydraulic supplier should have those.
