A new member, Buck, was looking for ideas for a 3 pt. hitch for his Jake 1450. This is the same tractor as the Ford LGT 145. I remembered seeing a thread on another forum of one that another new member here, skyrydr2 (Keith) had built. After receiving permission from Keith to post his pics here, I saved the pics and will now upload them for your enjoyment. Keith says he will pop in and add comments so here goes folks.

Here are a few more showing the build for the tiller drive and some of the links.

I think this is an awesome build and would do one similar, but I would have to remove my current PTO shaft. My thanks to Keith for permission to post these and I hope it will help others in their quest for a 3 point hitch.

Thanks Kenny for the leg work, I can and will answer any questions anyone may have on this, as Kenny said the pics are definitely not in any particular order, so it could be slightly confusing , so feel free to ask, I check here quite often :)

Thanks Kenny! This place is great and so helpful! This little tractor spree of mine is getting adictive. I already found another tractor much like mine only it is the 16 horse and has the Homelite Jacobsen name on it. But it has the 48" deck, 2 stage snowblower and cab. Turns over but wont fire. I just want the parts. It is over 2 hours away and I just have to convince my wife!
On the 3 point hitch I see the pully on the bottom of the pto shaft, would I use the front pulleys from the motor that runs the mower? Did he make the frame for the mid pulley?

Buck, the mid pulley is for his tiller, which is not a 'stock' unit. I added the extra pics of that as some of the pics show his tiller. Keith has more info on that, I know his tiller is a shaft driven, but the shaft was in the center, not on the left like the Ford/Jake.
That 16 HP Homelite/Jacobsen sounds like a good unit to get if the price is right. Cabs are scarce, snowblower would be good for the area you live in, & a 48 deck would be real nice to have. May just need something simple to get it to fire. Good luck.

Buck, the pulley does in fact run from the front like the mower, this is not standard and not recommended as it requires that sub frame with the center jackshaft . It works very good for the application I have but makes things a bit complicated.
Kenny, my 3 point hitch would work wonderfully with the factory pto with the lift lever on the right side, like it is on a few of the pics before I added its own dedicated cylinder and aux. Hydraulics . I can't use the factory pto setup because of my diesel engine choice .

Keith, I was thinking your pillow blocks and shaft were about the same height as the shaft I already have across for the tiller center mount.

I guess I could remove the right bracket and shaft and put a pillow block and new shaft across. Have to look at this closer.

Only issue I see could be the bearing support in the left, you need to go either on the inside of it with the lift arm or outside.

If you look closely,you'll note that there are more Bolens parts there.There is also a Bolens Tube Frame PTO under there.

Keith, thanks for bringing up what issues might be.
Bolens 1000 and Maynard, he knows how to make what is available work. Brand doesn't matter. He'll find a way to make it work.

WOW! NICE! Looks good, Keith. What size shaft is the main lift on? Where did you get the locking collars for it?

If someone has a set of top link/ pto brackets they could send to me, I could mock up and kit a 3 point hitch for them?
This is something I have been meaning to do now for a while , anyone interested let me know ok ?

Top shaft is 1" and the collars are from the hardware store, they are split lock collars. The center top link mount has one half welded to each boss so you can tighten them in any given position to control the "roll" of your implement :)

If so, I could part with mine for a while. I think the shaft is 1 1/8", though.

Those are the ones. Shaft size isn't critical for the mock up as the kit would be available for a "factory fit" meaning no holes to drill if at all possible :)

The PTO bracket has two holes, the other has one. They do have brass bushings for the shaft. This will be a great build thread for the guys looking for a 3 point. And, Keith, I know it will be done RIGHT! I've seen too much of your work to expect less.
