I have met a man today who showed me his restored Massey 20-85 (1953?) He told me he is missing a round sticker that goes on the side of the hood at about halfway up the front grill. The sticker has 20-85 written in letters and in numbers on it. I am trying to find a place to buy one or at the leat see an image of it so we could get it reproduced.

TY in advance

The Ferguson 20-85 was the petrol or gas model of the the Ferguson TE-20 made in England around 1946-1954. There were two designations, the Ferguson "Twenty-80" and "Twenty-85", the 80 and 85 referred to the cylinder bore. Most of the American tractors simply carried the designation of a Ferguson TE-20. These tractors came with gas, kerosene(TVO), or lamp oil engines, and other than one special order to Yugoslavia none were diesel, but almost everyone that came in for a overhaul was refitted with the Perkins P3 diesels. If you take a picture someone could make one for you, if you search English and French tractor clubs you might find one. I would start with a guy named George Brandish (google his website) here in the states. Hope this helps

Sounds like an interesting tractor.
I would get in touch with FENA (Ferguson Enthusiats of North America) http://fergusontractors.org/fena/ . Some of them eat, sleep, and breathe Ferguson... Heck, I hear they even bleed grey.

I don't know if you'll find it on the website, but they will help if they can. They have a bi monthly newsletter called the Ferguson Furrows. It may be a good place to put an ad in too.

I don't think any 1946-1954 Fergusons had a "decal" of any kind, they would have had a metal ID plate, even the the American TE-20 don't have any decals, just metal tag. I dont believe decals that showed a "model number" didn't appear until the MF30-MF35, MF65 era of the late 50's, I think everything prior was metal. In fact I see many Ferguson tractors being advertised and sold as Ford 8Ns

I found a post at a big tractor forum with an email listed. fergusontractiors(at)tiscali.co.uk
Thread was from 2007, but the addy might still be good?

I'm stunned that the guys didnt know anything about a 20-85. I would've thought if they existed, FENA would know what they were. I may have to call a couple of people and try to shake the bushes some. Huh.

It seems the Canadian version was listed (according to this thread) as the Twenty 85. Will Continue to research.
You beat me! I was actually replying to the last post when you came up with this find. This looks like the thing im looking for. Althiugh I had been told that the logo was round in shape. But the heck with it this looks right.

Well this is an awesome start. I have been hacking at this all week-end and you guys have found pretty much all I could hope for.

If I was to be picky I'd say all I need now is the right colors. I will be lookin 'round for a printer that does water transfer I think.
