Is there a list of what model decks interchange with each other. I have a H16 tube frame and need a deck, thanks, Mike
Thanks, I was wondering about that. It may be better to buy a whole tractor with a bad engineGenerally 90% of tube frame decks can be used on all models but the catch is having the right mounting hardware to go with the deck as the hardware normally stays with the tractor.
Yep, and I can go two ways with a tractor with a bad engine, locate a engine for it, or salvage it for parts and save myself a ton of money. The only problem with the salvage angle is most of the tractors I acquire usually only need paint, decals, tires, and a battery. I bought 14 complete sets of tires in the last eighteen months as well as 12 batteries, and 5 decal sets. You may br correct about that , then you would have some extra parts

Well, not actually. ....However those two models of mowers were probably (?) introduced in the years that the H&G14/16 tractors were made. Thanks, Bruce, so my guess is the 18418 and 18423 were specifically made for late model medium tube frames like the H14/16, and G14/16?
I have the 4 pins for the deck hangers on my tractor, that's it. I'm looking for a good deck, but every one I see is missing hanger parts, has a problem with the gear box, or is rusted through. There is a brand new shell on ebay for 299.00 and if I got a good complete deck at the right price, or along with another tractor I think it would be a good investment.Well, not actually. ....However those two models of mowers were probably (?) introduced in the years that the H&G14/16 tractors were made.
The #18418 can be used on any tube-frame from the 800 on up (higher hp).

Bolens made several changes to the type of mounting hardware over the tube-frame years. ....Each change was supposedly an "improvement."
