Well, with the help of a local teenager, I got the dethatcher out of the trunk of the rental car, and it's now mounted on the 1256 with the E-Z Vac system

I just tossed the whole combination into the "Tractor of the Month" contest as well.

As you can see, the dethatcher is missing a spring/tine, and there 4 or 5 that are bent. I'll be replacing them, and the 'nails' that are holding the wheels in place.

A video will have to wait until I do a bit of work on the mower deck.

Are you going to run the De-Thatcher with the deck??? ...
That's the plan at this time. Looking at it, I don't think that the dethatcher is going to need much HP to run, and the 12 horse Wisconsin should be able to handle it and the mower.

It's just something that I'll have to try.

How are you going to control the heights of the attachments?
Since both run off the same lift mechanism, your deck may be up too high to cut any grass

If anything, the deck might be too low. That deck doesn't lift very high.
I might have to see if I can get the deck to float, or at least limit how far down it goes.

Sweet looking setup! Wish that was my tractor... Just still amazes me that you need all that just for a bagger when the newer tractor baggers are much smaller and simpler. But, yours does look more... intimidating.

I have a Cub Cadet LTX 1045 with the twin bagger on it and i have to stop 4-6 times when I'm mowing the North yard, another 3-5 times on the South yard, and 2-3 times for the front and back yard. Then I have to go round up all the bags.

With the E-Z Vac I can do the whole North yard without stopping. and dumping is a piece of cake.

The other advantage is that it picks up EVERYTHING, especially leaves and walnuts. The CC will also plug up if the grass is even the least bit damp. The E-Z Vac doesn't care.

So, yeah, the newer ones are simpler, but not as efficient.
