I just picked up a Montgomery Ward model gil33145B. It runs but it's missing the rear drive belt. I was able to find a manual on the site showing the transaxle, drive and rear parts breakdown but it doesn't show belts. I'm looking for the model or dimensions for a drive belt that will fit. The drive belt on this tractor is under the rear seat on the right hand side. Any help finding this belt info would be greatly appreciated.

First welcome to GTt! Glad you found us!

Now, if it is a Variable drive like my 16hp MW. The belt number is 11901, and it is a 1/2" x 36" v-belt

Thank you for the information. I'll try that and see if it works. Just looking at it, the 36" is probably about right. It did look like the pulley was fairly narrow with a deep V. It looks like it's fairly tight space to work around to get the new belt in, how much of a chore is that? Thanks

It is easier than it looks. I think I pushed the clutch pedal down and locked the ebrake to give me enough slack? It fell off while plowing snow last year and I put it on without having to go back to the shop.

Congrats on a great tractor. The Napa number is 4L360W for the trans belt.

Thanks for the Belt sizes and part numbers. That did the trick and I was able to locate a drive belt and replace it. I also picked up a belt for the hydraulic pump. The one that's on there now is very loose. You can see in the picture where someone put a makeshift tensioner(bolt). Don't know if they just didn't have the right belt of if something else was going on.

I may have created another problem. While I was waiting to track down a belt, I pulled out the battery and to get behind the panel to look at replacing the light switch. (didn't replace it yet). When I put things back, it doesn't attempt to crank at all. I haven't had time to dig in and see what's going on but I did notice a wire coming from the engine but don't know where it goes from/to. The end was taped up so I don't know if it was connected to anything or not. I am attaching a picture of that as well.
