So I was driving my MF 10 the other day, pulling the trailer to the side of the house, in 2nd. and suddenly it starts grinding as if I tried to shift into gear without clutch and still rolling. Not a pleasant sound for sure...
So quickly I tapped the shifter ino neutral, stopped and put it back into gear again. All went well, no grinding...
Then later, tried it again, just down the drive way, and it did it again?
There is no unusual noise in any gear at any other time..... it almost feels like I'm trying to shift into another gear while rolling?
Help!:confuse:

I'm not really familiar with the Masseys, but could the gears be worn to the point of working their way out of gear?

As soon as I read the thread title I already knew what it would be, the other guys have pointed you in the right direction already. It really isn't that bad of a job to do, especially if your wheel hub comes off easily. Good thing is you only need to remove one side of the case and one hub and no worry of parts falling out.

this is why I enjoy GTtalk,...... there are a lot of people that know their 'stuff',
love that last part of "no worry of parts falling out".....
