I'm finally getting the carburetor back together for the Kohler K482 in my Bolens 1886. I have a service manual for the engine. On the A277061 carburetor, it says to adjust the float to 11/64" +/- 1/32". This is approx. 3/16"--That seems to be awfully small... Right now the float with the old needle and seat is adjusted at approx. 1/4". If I adjust the float to match that measurement, the free end will be pointing up considerably.

Is this a mistake in the repair manual? Can anyone tell me what the correct adjustment is?

Thanks,

Utah Smitty
