Old thread and I don't want to step on any toes here but but "Bring the '"heat wrench" always meant "We need the oxygen/acetylene torches." in Army recovery operation lingo.

"Little Joe" was the 40# 3' long wrench on the older armored vehicles that was used to turn the track adjuster to tighten the track.

I have many more terms used by the military that found their way into the commonly used terms column.

One that I have used occasionally:

SET - Spousal Equity Tax. If you're lucky, it only amounts to 100 percent of the cost of whatever it was you bought without SWMBO's blessing. Usually in the form of new furniture, carpets, a complete remodel, or even a new house.
