I was using my Franken G11 (maybe I should call it an F11) to move some stuff around today, and remembered that someone had asked if I had played with the 'extra' low range that it has.

So, just for giggles, and after I was finished moving stuff, I decided to play with it a bit to see what it would do in 1st gear and lo/lo range.

If you remember it's a G11 with a 1050 transmission. Since the G11 has a double set of pulleys for hi/lo range, and the 1050 trans has the hi/lo built into it, the combination gives me 2 speeds forward. Now I don't know if any of those 12 speeds overlap, but I guess it is possible.

Here is the result.

I think I'll measure off 50-100' on the sidewalk and time it just to see if I can calculate the speed. It has to REAL slow.

ETA:

Just did a bit of cipherin...and if I measure out 48' it will make things pretty easy since 48 gozinda 5280 110 times.
:D

Pretty slow, for sure! I'm going to see how slow the 6-speed is on the GT 18 when I get it together. If i remember right, those are pretty slow too.

Yes it is as slow as molasses in January, but the more important question we all want to know is, how fast is it in "Double Hi" Range then? If it works in super slow motion in Lo/Lo Range, then how fast does it go in Hi/Hi range?
