I am going to change the hydraulic hoses on my h16. This will be a first for me, anything that I need to be aware of ? look out for ? Or tips on the best way to accomplish the task :) ???

I'm doing the same thing on my H14 soon. They are all 3/8" JIC from what I can tell. Shouldn't be an issue as there isn't any pressure on the system as I found out while changing the filter assembley last month. The only problem I can see is getting to the Valve block to access them connections.
Make sure everything is clean before you change out the hoses as you don't want any dirt to get in the system.
Get some pics of the process too while you're at it!
All the Best!!!

Yes it should have two different size hoses. The smaller ones feed two and from the lift cylinder and the larger ones come from and return to the pump.
