NO hydraulic fluid! Either ATF or straight 30wt motor oil.

I think Hygard is for trans/hydraulic applications, so it's a lot different than straight hydraulic fluid. The film shear strength in trans/hyd fluid is much greater than with straight hydraulic fluid. So I stand by my "no hydraulic fluid" statement, but needed to have said "no straight hydraulic fluid".
Straight hydraulic fluid can foam believe it or not. In the Case hydriv systems, straight hydraulic fluid will foam so bad they will buck/jump, and act completely crazy. I know because several years ago, I found out the hard way.
