Last year that cable to rotate the chute just pissed me off and had to do something about it

This year I took a 24v permenant magnet wheel chair lift for parts and mounted it on the blower to rotate the chute

The first thing to do was take apart the lift, make a bracket for it to bolt onto the blower where the cable wench was mounted.

Made up a adapter to weld a 14 tooth #40 sprocket onto in order to mount on motor

Used a #2040 master link and attached chain to chute where cable attached.

Wired up the controls from the lift and away she went

Now I can rotate my chute by the push of a button sitting comfortably

Chute even rotates in the direction of arrows on control box

I love it! I would build a metal cover to keep the snow off it, but what a great idea!
