IF it has the plastic connector, they are both the same connector with five wires. BUT, if you look at back of switch, it should have letter markings on it. One for battery should have an I (eye) for Ignition and the Mag kind should have the M for Magneto instead. The M only grounds the engine to shut off, the I actually cuts the circuit in the switch, turning off the power then to engine. IF you have individual wires to it, same applies, don't mix them up if you pull all of them. Might be best to unscrew switch from panel and pull it back to engine compartment and look at it there. Might also have to clean it up some to see the letters. Mark wires if single before pulling. A little bit diff wiring for each then, find wire diagram for your set-up and go with that. or go with one you are changing to or whatever. Diagrams are on Yahoo group site, not sure what we have here. There are many shown, need to know your serial number.
